Hello, I'm Stephanie Savage, the face behind all sweets baked at The Moonlight Cakery.
My journey began in the custom cake design area as a florist; I loved the limitless creativity that came from each flower, its scent, and the meaning behind each flower for each design. I paired up with my friend, Roxie, in 2015 for an intricate design and realized that I had a passion for growth in the culinary space of custom cake design.
Being a mom of three young girls, my inspiration for each cake design is through each of their personalities. My first independent cake was a traditional smash cake for my daughter. With the guidance of a friend and hours of cake-design tutorials, the cake turned out perfectly, and at that very moment, I knew that my future was in creating custom cake designs.
This year, I leaped and began my sole entrepreneurship in The Moonlight Cakery. The simple fact is that I can stay at home with my children without sacrificing my professional dedication to designing customized cakes for friends, family, and the community I love to call home.
I am embracing all the new and incredible things in store for this journey. I hope you come along!
I continued my education through a self-led, custom-cake boot camp, where I studied techniques, tools, and ingredients to provide the most decadent cake flavors with the most eye-catching, bold, and tailor-made cakes possible. I will admit that my journey of many failed cake designs has brought me the expert skills and confidence to the cakes you see and taste today.
